Working in the IT industry has increased my appreciation of this exacting and
fulfilling career besides my desire to be part of and hopefully further the
advancement of such a dynamic profession. In a short span, I have worked on
various challenging projects with unique requirements and technology stacks,
with my best works in JavaScript. The finest moment in my career so far was
when I got the opportunity to work with the team that developed ApnaIAS, an
AI-backed application that enables users to practice and fine-tune their
aptitude for essay writing in the highly competitive Indian Civil Services
examination. Working at a start-up is demanding, exhausting, and challenging,
but is worth every bit of it. Serving as a Member of Technical Staff - II, I
have been able to work on things that I could only dream of while joining the
company. I have shortly been inducted into the organization's high-level ERD
and Service architecture design and proposal team, where I worked alongside
some of the most experienced members of the company, which induced in me very
essential qualities of keeping heavy tasks organized and planned. Realizing the
need to keep developers up to date with cutting-edge technologies, we formed
guilds for every technology the company uses, and I was inducted into the React
guild. Helping peer engineers to cross the technology bridge has enhanced my
team working and leadership skills. Alongside my regular roles and
responsibilities, I volunteered to mentor interns in our team by conducting
multiple training and design thinking workshops, which vastly improved my
organizational and instructional skills. Before this, my six-month internship
in the same company has honed my ability to code, develop, and deploy products.
Twenty months spent in one of LinkedIn's top 10 start-ups in India, coupled
with experiences in my under graduation, highlighted to me the importance of
computers and society's dependence upon them.

Computers are pervasive, from the homes we live in, to the cars we drive. It is
the future, and to build it, is an extraordinary privilege and responsibility,
Which I am glad to be a part of. My short-term goals are to expand my
knowledge, extend my network of engineers from various backgrounds, and
contribute more to the Open-Source world. Graduating with an enhanced technical
background after my Masters, I wish to establish myself as a competent engineer
and hold positions of higher responsibilities. In the long run, I intend to
follow this up with a Ph.D., and later, a career in research and teaching, to
fulfill my dream of shaping future engineers.

At this stage of my career, I believe pursuing a Master's in Computer Science
would catalyze my career progress, and the program offered at the University of
Texas, Arlington is perfectly tailored to my needs. The University also has a
very diverse student community. The subjects offered are comprehensive and
intellectually enriching, and I am immensely impressed with the research being
carried out, particularly the works of Professor Gautam Das and his team, and
Assistant Professor Ming Li.

I look forward to gaining a competitive edge by deepening my understanding of
various analytical techniques and upgrading my technical skills through the
well-structured curriculum. I hope the Admissions Committee recognizes my drive
to excel in my academic and professional undertakings and issues an affirmative
response. I aspire not just to reach my goals but also to establish new
standards by being part of the elite group of engineers at the university,
delivering the best to exceed the high standards of your institution.
