Did you know that the average teenager does more than 3 hours of homework per day?!
On top of 6 hours of school, a teenager must complete 3 or more hours of work, which totals 9 hours of school/work per day! Teenagers spend too much time doing homework and as a result of this, students become more pressured, stressed, and students get less with their family and friends.

The first reason I believe that teachers should assign little to NO homework is because it makes the students stressed. Some evidence from the procon article is, “82% of respondents said that they were ‘often or always stressed by schoolwork’”. This shows that 82% of respondents are immensely stressed by the amount of homework offered by schools. Stress is not a very healthy emotion, and homework gives lots of it. That’s why teachers should assign little to NO homework

Second, homework has bad effects on health. These are the results of a poll of how homework effects your health; “In their open-ended answers, many students said their homework load led to sleep deprivation and other health problems. The researchers asked students whether they experienced health issues such as headaches, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, weight loss and stomach problems.” This shows how homework can cause headaches, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, weight loss and stomach problems, which can be troublesome towards health.

Lastly, I think students should not have homework because it can cause mental problems because of the large amount and the stress they can get from homework. From the same Stanford article before it stated, “In their open-ended answers, many students said their homework load led to sleep deprivation and other health problems.” If this happens, this could cause many major things. Having sleep deprivation is very bad because it makes it hard to pay attention, which makes you do even worse in class.

However, some people say that Homework helps reinforce information learned in class. I think this is wrong though, since you learn everything at school already, so there is no reason to have to do it again at home.

As you can clearly see, teenagers spend too much time doing homework, and as a result of that, teenagers have less social time, troublesome situations to your health, and causes lots of stress.
This is why it is obvious to have little to no homework.
