dönemden yaklaşık 1 hafta önce ates, deride döküntüler ve artropati (simetrik, gezici olma.
yan, küçük eklemleri tutan ağrı) gibi şikayetler görülebilir.
Ikterik evre: Prodromal evredeki yakınmalar azalır ve hastaların skleralarında sarılık, id-
rar renginde koyulaşma ve dışkı renginde beyazlaşma (akolik dışkı) olur. Ikterik evrenin
ilk günlerinde 1-2 gün süren kaşıntı olabilir. Mekanik ikterlerde kaşıntı gittikçe artarken,
akut viral hepatitlerde sadece 1-2 gün sürer. Bu dönemde hekim muayenesi ile hastaların
%50-80'inde hepatomegali, %25'in de ise splenomegali saptanır. Hepatit C virüsüne bağlı
hastalıkta ikter hastaların sadece %25'inde var iken, Hepatit E virüsüne bağlı hastalıkta
neredeyse tümünde vardır. Bazen Hepatit A virüsüne bağlı oluşan kolestazın uzaması ile
ikterik dönem 2-6 aya kadar uzayabilir.
lyileşme evresi: Tüm yakınma ve bulguların gerilemesi genellikle 1-4 hafta sürer (klinik iyi-
leşme). Karaciğer enzimleri ve bilirubin değerleri 1-3 ay içinde tamamen normale döner
(biyokimyasal iyileşme). Serolojik olarak da yaklaşık 2-3 ay içinde antijen kaybolup, antikor-
lar oluşur (virolojik iyileşme). Son olarak da karaciğer histolojisinde düzelme ile hastalığın
iyileşme dönemi tamamlanır (histolojik iyileşme).
