College Gameday Scare

5:30am

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock and see it`s 5:30am . I jump up and remember today`s gameday . The #2 Ole Miss Rebels are coming down to Tuscaloosa to face our #4 Alabama Crimson Tide.The Rebels just pulled off a upset against the #2 Texas A&M (which is now #9) so this ain`t no cake walk.I put my Roll Tide Shirt,grab my Bama hat.I go to the Bathroom and paint my face Red on the left of my face and White on my right side of my face.Pick up my Red Wig and put my hat on top of that and grab a poster saying “Rolling over the Rebels” and that`s when i get the surprise that will give me a run...for my life.

5:46am

I walk out to get the mail and find a envelope saying “College Gameday”.I open it,read it,then drop everything an run inside along with the envelope.I read it again and it reads…
“Hey Reggie,It`s me your nightmare.Today I`m also going to Gameday along with my bomb.I need you to match my demands or by 11:59, the Bama team, Nick Saban and everyone in or around Gameday will be dead, and if you choose not to come,that`s fine by me,I`ll get you some other way and it`ll be your fault that Bama will have no Alabama Football team no more.Also,1 more thing...Happy Trails Reggie”
8:17am
Honk,Honk.”Reggie Man ready to go” Niles yells.

Be there in a second”.I reply

I grab the note and pretend it`s as a baby able to fit in a pocket and put a wad of cash on top of the note and head out to the mysterious world waiting ahead of me.My initial thought is not to go to gameday,but i have to.My life would be a miserable life without Bama football for these reasons
1)I don`t have good enough looks to get a decent girlfriend.
2)I would probably be a South Alabama or Troy Trojans fan because i hate Auburn but those teams aren`t the best teams.
I have a debate whether to tell Niles about the note but the debate goes to the “No” side.
”Ready to kick some Rebels booty or nah” Niles asks.

I guess I almost say but Niles cuts me off “It`s Erica”.

”Heyyyy how yah doing`”.I zone out and focus on the task at hand.
8:50am

“10 minutes Bama fans ARE YOU READY”!!!”AHHHHHH”the fans reply.

”I`m gonna go use the restroom” I tell Niles.

”Hurry up bro gameday starts like he said 10 minutes”.

”Don`t worry i`ll be back by then”.

As I walk into the restroom I turn the faucet on and throw a bunch of water on my face and take a long deep breath and as I walk out I see a envelope noting “College Gameday”.”Oh brother” I exclaim in a low and deep voice.I read it
“Hello Reggie you decided to show”.”That`s lucky”.”I want you to match my demand or BYE BYE Reggie”.”At precisely 9:35am I want you to have $200 in a envelope behind the concessions stands”.”I mean I need giveaway money” ;)

I keep the note and run back to Niles . As I close in on our spot I see Chris Fowler,Desmond Howard,Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstriet.On the side I see my idol Paul Finebaum.Also inside the crew station I see David Pollack (A former Georgia RB) and Jessie Palmer (A former Florida Star QB)

“Hello Folks,my name is Chris Fowler alongside Desmond Howard,Lee Corso and Krk Herbstriet and what a great day for Bama Football”.I start to laugh and shake my head and start thinking “That`s flat out hilarious”
9:30am

I look up a the sky and see a array of birds flocking and they are flying pretty fast as they are chasing prey.The smell of butter on popcorn.

“I`m gonna go buy something at the concessions want anything” I ask Niles?

”Nah I`m good”he replies

As soon I`m out of sight of Niles I start to run towards the concessions stands I look down at my watch and it reads 9:30am .I put the money inside my 1st envelope and run off.I think of a excuse to tell Niles why I didn't buy anything but I don`t need to because Niles...isn`t there.
9:45am

I spot Niles at the concession stands sprinting towards me with 2 hotdogs in 1 hand and stuffing something in his jean pockets assuming it`s his change.

“Where did you go” puffs Niles out of breath?

“There was Coke products not Pepsi and you know I don't drink Coke I chuckle”.

“Well ok,that`s fine...here i got you a hot dog”

Thanks I reply but the roar of the crowd tells me that it`s time for a short Bama-Rebels preview.Chris Fowler starts talking about Nick Sabans new QB Blake SIms and how he earned the starting job this off season and how he`s built a great definsive line.I hold up my sign,then a gunshot goes off.
9:55am

Clearly the TV crew didn't hear it because there`s a glass separating the fans and the crew but I know what I heard was a gunshot.I take off sprinting to where i heard the gunshot.I find myself gasping for air as I just ran a marathon when I reach the scene.I see 1 person dead on the ground with a cop like suit on.Apparently I was the only person that heard the gunshot because nobody is in earshot of us right now.I think it was probably a silencer but role that out as a cold shutter runs through me and I feel a wiggle inside my ear and find a mic in my ear.My thoughts go blank then remember when I delivered the money that felt something but thought it was a mosquito but realize that it was someone putting a mic in my ear.Obviously,I`ve been tricked.




10:05am

I run over to the dead “cop”.I pull out my mic and search on it for clues on it.It has a logo of some kind with a triangle wth asnake going throught with printed words on it saying “Rivera” .I look at the cop and it has the sameprint and logo on a badge saying Jack.He has a envelope inside his suit pocket saying “College Gameday”.I reat it.It notes…
Hello Reggie,So you found my mic and the person I hired to injure himself but he`s out Temporarily.Now at 10:55 I need access to gameday`s broadcast and if you fail this task.Happy Trails,Reggie

I know exactly why he wants access to the broadcast.He wants to make his commands live on TV before the bomb.I finda phone inside the envelope and it is a Rivera 1.5 Phone.I look through the phone and there`s 1 contact... Jack.
10:15am
I hear a rumble in my stomach saying I`m hungry.Well that`s what I get for throwing the hotdog away after 1 bite.I go over to Bojangles and get a Cajun Filet and process what I know about hacking.Well actually,I`m technically a genuis at hacking because I take a hacking class of how to spot bad hackers.

10:35am

I`m in position to get the broadcast hacked.Then,I get a text from Niles.

“Where r u.Full Bama-Rebels Preview at 11”.

I reply “I`ll be there by then” and decide to give “him” access a minute early.I walk around trying to digest my delicious Cajun Filet.I take a second to feel my surroundings as it`s my last hour of the world.The wind whistling in my hair.The smell of Little Caesars pizza making it`s way to my nose.The baby crickets still chearping. A.A ticking timer.WAIT A TICKING TIMER.I listen more carefully and guess it`s coming from the locked porter john.I knock.Nobody answers.I knock again and nobody answers.I move the red locked sign to green and walk into the porter john.I walk in and think,how could I miss the huge ticking timer on the wall.
10:43am

I look for clues on the timer and come to a resolution that it`s a bomb.


My clues are…
1)It`s in perfect position to blow everything,everybody up.
2)The label says 2 things 1)Caution will blow anything up in a 10 mile(s) radius.2)Says bomb on the top.

The timer says there is 1 hour and 15 minutes until it blows.I put the bomb hints into my notes and leave my porta john and lock the porta john.I walk back to the place where “The Villan” or “Jack” access to the broadcast.A simple foot stool like post where a round cement block and a perfect WiFi router to the the crew.At 10:43 I`m about to push the send button but before that a blacked masked,black shirted man appears on the screen.He`s tall but skinny and talks in a cover up voice obviously.On the side It has a triangle with a snake going through it.I think “I just a piece of their puzzle”.He speaks.

“Hello Game day!!!Chris,Kirk,Lee,Desmond and you other nobodies.I don`t think you know but I`m a criminal working for a organization called Rivera.Guess what your lucky target #1.At 11:55 this place will go BOOM!!! If you don`t reach this command Ole Miss VICTORY”
11:00AM

The whole Gameday is going BALLISTIC!!Corso just through the elephant mascot head which means he would`ve pick them.I mean Katy Perry would`ve probably ripped the thing off and through it anyway so no difference there.The “Villain” said the bomb can blow up the state of Alabama so that`s why nobody`s leaving.The closest way out of Alabama is Mississippi and that it is 1 hour and 56 minutes without traffic.I reach where Niles is but when I arrive it`someone all right... with a gun to my head.
11:20am

Chuckles...The last thing I think I think I will remember I right here.He pulls his gundown and yells “your coming with me”!He keeps a tight grip on my wrist.He opens a door into the concessions stands.

“Stay in here and then nothing bad will happen to you” The Villan says 11:20am

There are 8 other people inside the room and I finally speak

“I saw the bomb” I say queitly

“Sure you did kid” says someone probably twice my age.”The bombs a fake”
“You a Bama fan by any chance”I ask.

“Yes” “I`m Gene Schallings”Gene remarks

I'm in shock “Really you the real Gene Stalling”
” Yeah Yeah “chuckles Gene “They took all the hotshots at Bama””They sure did “said another guess that I think is Nick Sabans. Gene Speaks again “They also took AJ McCarron,Lane Kiffen,Greg McCroy,Trent Richardson,Mark Ingram and Amari Cooper and then they took you which to me is no reason but why are you here”?Then everything clicks together.”I`m here because... my friend`s the villain”.

11:40am

Everything is silent after that until someone comes barging in the room.It`s Niles.
“Hey Reggie””I found you along with my idol Nick Saban”!!”Where have you`ve been”!!”Well let`s put it this way, matching your demands”.”whatcha mean dude” Niles asks.”You know what I mean”. I say. Niles pulls out a gun and aims it at me and clicks the top trigger and 3 cops jump on him.
“Gotcha says a cop”.”Causing you folks trouble hey asks another”.
“That`s for sure” says Saban.”Holy Cow it`s Nick Saban and Gene Stallings”.”Also the other hotshots at Alabama”.The cop turns to Niles where 2 other men have his hands cuffed together “Your gonna be in jail for a while kid”.I dig his pocket for our Bama tickets.I find a remote with 2 buttons “Deactivate” and “Blow”.I push deactivate and take our tickets and also say the most cop like thing I could think of “Take him away boys”.
2:40pm

The threat was all over the news and Niles was sentenced for life in prison and probation.I feel bad yet know he deserves it.The cops questioned me and asked if I thought he was the main man in this crime.I told them these clues
1)The letters were all put in specific places and nobody else would`ve knew where I was going but Niles.
2)Niles was gone after I placed the money behind the concessions stands.(I got my refund).
3)Who else would`ve been behind me to put the mic inside my ear.

I start my way to Bama Bar`n`Grill to tailgate and gear up for football.
8:00pm

“Hut”The 1st play of the game is underway.Sims backs up in the pocket,steps back into the pocket and unloads a bomb to Amari Copper.It`s a skyrocket by.TOUCHDOWN BAMA!!!The Crimson Tide take the lead early against the Rebels after a 82 yard bomb by Blake Sims.The #4 Alabama Crimson are giving the #2 Ole Miss Rebels a run for their money.
12:37am

As I walk up the driveway I find a letter on my door noting…

Dear Reggie,
Sorry for backstabbing you.Please come visit me and tell me the score of the game.P.S “Rivera will get you”

I already decided to forgive Niles but I`m not going to visit him.Also I don`t care about this Rivera crap right now I just am worried that I will fall asleep outside.Anyway if I were to visit him he`d go ballistic because the #4 Crimson Tide beat the #2 Rebels in a blowout of 38-10.The crowd was the factor and guess who was on the big screen for being a Bama legend...me.
