Notes

This is a note as a concerned employee. Its not as a threat to the hospital or establishment. I am very happy working for the meridian Health system, and I am very grateful for the job that I have.
I have noticed in the year that I have been an employee a lack of , ok i'll say it "respect" for the jobs of the sterile processing dept. we hold in high regard our job and duty to keep the health and well being of the staff and employees. Due to circumstances of employees lost, this has been compromised and at the same time. the integrate and efficacy of our department is starting to lack in best practices. As an employee I feel the need to reach out to you before a breach or serious problem occurs.
we are short staffed and have been for a while now , at times there is 1 individuals working in the department for an 8hour day. same day surgery proceeds to take on more doctors and more staffing, yet Sterile processing has yet to find proper coverage for the events that have left them under staffed.
My main concern at this point is just to inform you that we are also a major point of the health and well being of every patient and employee in this hospital. If our department is compromised so is the well being of the hospital patients and employees.
