Who am I in this story and space?
What work do I need to be doing in our community?
What is my responsibility as a white Bennington student in our community?
How do I cultivate a space of empathy and love while recognizing the harm I might have caused?
Where do we move together?
I'm wondering about white centrality, I'm wondering about where I stand in this story as a first generation white male. I'm wondering what my responsibility is as a white person privileged to be here in combating the histories of this place, while giving space to others to tell their own stories
How do you decenter whiteness without requiring BIPOC to do the work for you
How do you appreciate the beauty and wonder and privilege of this place, while recognizing how you are contributing to the harm
How can I be a responsible white person in this community?
Who am I in this story?
How do I move from bystander to accomplice?
How do I recognize and use my privilege to combat systemic racism?
I'm swimming in many many thoughts. The responsibility of participating while also giving space for others to participate but not relying on their voices to give you solutions or comfort.
What can I be doing better in this community to support and listen to the nuanced voices of BIPOC while also recognizing my responsibility in participating in the work of anti-racism?
How do I better listen to and understand the nuanced voices of the BIPOC community here?
What can I be doing better in our community to be an accomplice to BIPOC students on campus?
What is my role in this
What does this story tech me about my role here, about what I can do better,
How does this story
What can I be doing better in our community to listen to BIPOC voices?
How can I better listen to BIPOC voices?
What is the work of anti-racism like?
What do I learn from a story that is about someone different from me? Who am I, as a white person attending this college now, in all of this? What is my responsibility and how to I engage in questioning my own complicintness and move forward with care and love?
How do I unsettle my own complicity in the status quo?
What has changed in this community from the 50s? What hasn't?
What can I be doing better to listen to and be an accomplice to BIPOC on our campus and beyond?
Who am I, as a white
