Manager
Manages the group. It’s your job to ensure that everyone is doing their job, and
only their job. You are also responsible for making sure that everyone participates
and understands the concepts. The only person who is allowed to speak to the
Instructor is the Manager. (Asks Dr. T to join group, or sends Dr. T private chat message…they will enter report with group details into DropBox in Learn with all group member names and roles on it)

Spokesperson
Presents group answers to the class. If the Instructor asks for an oral or written (on the
board) response from the group, it will be provided by the Spokesperson. NO ONE
ELSE is allowed to add or qualify what the Spokesperson says. If you want to make sure
that your understanding is presented, the time to do it is during group discussions. (During class session: Dr. T will call on random groups to report back, or will ask for answers in the chat)

Scribe
Provides the official record for the group. The Spokesperson is the one who shares
the group answers with the class, but the Scribe’s answers are the official written
record for the group. If the Scribe’s answer is wrong, the entire group could suffer. (Takes notes for group during discussion, distributes to all group members for their own notes)

Librarian
Performs all technical operations for the group. The Librarian/Technician is the
fact-checker and is the only person in the group who is allowed to have their
book out, and then only if expressly allowed by the activity or the Instructor. The
Librarian is also the keeper of the “clicker”. When the Instructor asks for responses
via the turning-point clickers, the Librarian will actually enter the group’s answer.
Week 1 Roles in each group:
Arrange alphabetically beginning with Manager, then Spokesperson, then Scribe, then Librarian.
