Hastanın karın çevresi her gün işaretli yerden ölçülmeli ve hasta her gün ayni tarti ve saat
te tartılmalı ve elde edilen veriler kayıt edilmeli, hastaya düzenli olarak deri bakımı
sürekli yatak istirahati olan hastanın pozisyonu iki saatte bir değiştirilmelidir.
Hastaya karın içi parasentez uygulanabilir (Şekil 5-3). Parasentez teşhis amacıyla olabildi
ği gibi, yoğun tedavi programına rağmen ilaçlarla diurezin sağlanamadığı durumlarda asidin
yaptığı baskıyı azaltmak amacıyla da uygulanabilir. Aslında tedavi amacıyla uygulanan para
sentez, protein kaybı, hipovolemi, hiponatremi ve karın içi basıncıniin fazla sivi çekerek birden
kaldırılması sonucu gelişen karın içi kanamalar gibi ciddi komplikasyonlar nedeniyle nadiren
endikedir.

Parasentez Sırasında Hemşirelik Bakımı
Parasentez uygulanacaksa peritoniti önlemek amacıyla mutlaka aseptik tekniğe dikkat
edilmelidir. Bir seferde parasentezle çekilen sivi miktarı fazla olmamalı ve gelen mayinin rengi
gözlenmelidir. Parasentez işleminden sonrası gerekli görülürse kanamayı durdurmak için ka
rin çevresine bandaj uygulanmalı ve parasentez sonrası hasta karnında hassasiyet, ateş gibi
peritonit belirtileri yönünden gözlenmelidir. Parasentez sırasında ve sonrasında yaşam bulgu-
ları dikkatle izlenmelidir.
