Texas Holdem Poker
Poker is a card game that has been played since the mid-1700's. Poker is also called holdem, coveralls or three-suit stud, or five-card stud. Benjamin Stimpson, an American poker player, invented the game. Poker is one of the many different card games where players wager on which hand is the most advantageous according to the rules of the game. The aim of the game is to players to win greater than the losing hand. Usually the betting rounds are quick and there is often a show, as in poker tournaments.

Texas Holdem is a game where players are given eight cards. One card is called the big blind, or the one that has the "big" face up. There are two smaller blinds, the smaller pair and the large pair. A "poker bet" is a bet players place in the hope of winning at the least the same amount when other players are present.

After the first round of betting has ended the players must put forth one of their seven cards face up in front of them. The player with the "low card" gets to stay on the table, and the other players must fold if they hold cards other than the "low card". Then the player with the "high card" has to flop and the player with the "low card" must call. After all players have been rolled , all the cards are revealed, and the player with the high card is now the "high card".

After the first betting round, the dealer button will be pressed. The dealer button will then flip, and all players will be able to see the new cards. The dealer button must be activated before the player can reveal his cards. Players can place bets with "poker chips", and the winner will be announced when all players have folded.

In Texas Holdem, there are two types: folding and betting. You can place bets by declaring the odds that a particular card will come heads or tails. A player might bet, for example, "eight out ten times Ace will be head" Each bet should specify the odds and each line must have distinct.

Once the last bet is folded the pot is then divided between the players who won (from left to right, counting from one to nine). At this point, each player is able to check in with the dealer to find out how much money he has won or lost. When a player wins, the winner keeps his chips. When he wins a match the player gets to keep all the money in his wallet which includes the amount of "action" in the pot. Action refers to the amount of times a bet was increased above the required amount of chips to win. In Texas Holdem, "Action" is the amount of times the bet was raised beyond the required amount.

The action ends and the players turn. After the players have completed their turn the dealer announces the bet and the players must all bet on the bet prior to the next turn. After all other bets have been folded the bet is the final one. A player can fold before the turn if he has less five cards on his hands. Once a player has folded and the dealer takes over and gives out a new hand. After the hand is dealt, it is now time for the blinds to be used.
