Sakura Aoi (桜 青い Aoi Sakura) also known as Aoi-chan (青いちゃん Aoi-chan) or Daydream (デイドリーム Deidorīmu) is a student at U.A high school and a member of Class 1.A training to become a pro-hero. She is a major supporting character of the series.

Appearance:

Sakura is a slender girl with a pale skin-tone. She has short hair and her fringe loosely parted. Her hair is slightly wavy as well. She always styles her hair down. She has round eyes, her left one is light pink and her right one is light blue. She has rather long eyelashes as well. Because of an accident what happened when she was four years old, she has a small scar right next to her right eye, being only a few centimeters away. She is rather tall for her age, standing at 168 cm or 5'6.

At school, she wears the standard U.A. uniform with instead of the usual knee-high socks, dark grey stockings and white knee-high boots. She also wears knee-pads. She usually brings a light pink back-pack to school.

Her hero costume is composed of a tight jacket with a pink horizontal line around the middle and the rest under it is grey. She has a wears a turtle-neck with a light blue hood attached on it. She wears a white thin jacket with a blue horizontal line at the bottom. She has two veil-like attachments to her tight jacket that are black but has light blue trimmings to it. She wears thigh-high mostly black socks with a light blue vertical line on it. She wears the same white knee-high boots alongside her costume.

During her time in middle school, she wore the standard seifuku and was shown having her hair half-up half-down with a sort loop hanging over her right ear, She did the same with her left ear.

During two heroes, she wore a navy blue and light blue dress with two layers, the top layer is navy-colored and sort of like a veil hanging over her lighter blue second layer. She wore an off-the shoulder corset with a daisy on it that is navy colored with the edges being a lighter blue and wore a neck-piece with a navy bow on it. The ribbon is light blue. She wore navy blue heels and white knee-high socks. For accessories, she wore white gloves and a navy blue jeweled crown. She wore silver hoop earings with crystals on them.



Personality:

Sakura displays a bright, friendly and cheerful demeanor, always having an easygoing smile on her face regardless of the situation she is in. She is a very easygoing person as well. However, because she was often praised as a child, she carries a lot of burdens but can be a bit cocky at times. Being very confident about her abilities, she is very determined; once she sets her mind on something, she will not let go of it until she achieves her goal.

She can be quite intimidating at times, she also has quite a short temper. Sakura has no regard about taking away someone's life, she considers it happening one time or another and one way or another, she has a short temper for people with idealistic ideas and considers them reckless and unable to make good decisions.

Sakura has high expectations for the people around her but even higher expectations for herself. Originally, she wanted to go to Ryukyu Agency but decided on Endeavor Agency because he was higher ranked and believed that she would be a better hero if she went there.

Despite seeming very cheerful, she has a sadistic side and enjoys teasing people, going a bit to far sometimes. She can be quite an airhead and blunt but als manipulative, she can tell lies very well and often. Sakura imagines a too-good to be true world in her head, which is natural because of her quirk but she can't help but to feel disappointed because it is just her imagination and not reality.

Sakura values her relationships and is openly affectionate towards her loved ones. In a familiar environment, she becomes playful and teasing. Although she is perceived as kind and generous. She can be quite bubbly as well.

Sakura is more blunt and bold with the ones she is close with and often makes them laugh, however, in an argument. She is soft-spoken and doesn't talk much. She can seem childish and a bit silly, especially with her elder brothers; Haruto Aoi and Hiroto Aoi.

Sakura has shown that she cares more for herself than others, but quickly lets go of this habit once she saw how true heroes acted. Like when she fell into a coma with a gentle smile on her face, happy that she could protect civillians and the heroes. She used to be very obedient and does not like breaking rules at all, especially what she was taught during childhood, but Sakura eventually realised that she should consider her feelings over rules. Because even so, the rules are meant to protect you, not suffocate you.

Sakura is very supporting and acceptive, she dislikes people who can't accept reality but does relate to them a bit. However, she is very strict with others but in a good way, the way she was raised mostly during childhood. She refuses to let anyone give up hope like how she did in the past, she encourages them to do their best no matter what to bring the best out of them. She is also very creative and can merge multiple factors of her dreams together to create something.

She is the older-sister friend that people need to control their lives, she is very responsible even though she is the youngest child of two older brothers and the one that balances them out; She is incredible at most of the household chores and can do many other things a traditional household wife can. Her parents; who grew up in a traditional household as well has passed their upbringing to their daughter. She is to independent for her own good and naturally naïve. She can be a bit to bold as well.

Sakura has a very short temper regarding people calling her 'perfect' and calls them insensitive. It is a pet peeve of her and she has murderous intent whenever people call her that. In other words; she can heavily injure someone or even kill someone if she has murderous intent, like how she heavily injured Ayame in an argument. Sakura's creator had confirmed that is Sakura did not clutch onto her memories like how she didn't in the car accident where she was eleven years old, she would have lost all her memories when she was eleven to fifteen.





Skills and abilities:

Overall Abilities: Sakura is a very capable hero, very creative with her quirk and naturally athletic and a fast-learner, alongside her ability to memorize, she is a very talented hero-in-training, even being recognized by Enji Todoroki and was invited to his agency for her internships and work studies. Despite being very talented, Sakura can't push herself to the limit because of her fear of losing even if she were to give it her all. She also realised she wanted people to think lower of her to make the burdens lighter. Enji noticed this rather quickly and always forced her to push herself to the limit what heavily impacted her way of thinking, noticing that Enji has been rather strict on her.

Despite having gone trough fencing lessons in the past, she is unable to wield a sword correctly, instead, she uses a large ring blade she creates to fly or use as a sword. If she does not concentrate, chances are that she can hurt herself as well. However, she is very efficient in using her ring blade so she does not harm herself often. She can also use her ring blade as a bow and has used it a few times. Sakura is also highly skilled at using a knife, alongside her speed and efficiency, she has thrown knives before.

Sakura has many fears blocking her way from pushing to her limits; one of her fears, the extreme fear of heights, being terrified of high places. She is also afraid of failure and quite sensitive to it.


Enhanced speed: Sakura is faster than most of her fellow peers or girls around her age, being able to keep up with Izuku Midoriya using 30% One for All which is quite an achievement because so far only Katsuki Bakugou has been able to keep up with him. She has a very quick reaction speed as well. Being able to block and dodge moves efficiently, however, she mostly dodges. At her limit, she is almost six times faster than the speed of light what makes it seem like she is teleporting.

Enhanced durability: Being possibly Sakura's best trait, Sakura is very durable often dealing with a severe headache as a drawback for her quirk, only feeling mild pain and once Ayame used her pain-feeling ability on Sakura, she started screaming in pain, feeling like her head was splitting apart. Sakura can also endure strong hair pulls and various deep cuts and ignore it. However, this took a toll on her body and made her slip into a coma.

Evolved intellect: Despite seeming not-so-smart, Sakura is very calculated and can take advantage of peoples fears, flaws and weaknesses, knowing quite a lot about the human body, she knows when to strike and where quickly. She is a quick-thinker but keeps it to herself, preferring to perform a task on her own what limitates her knowledge recources. She is amazing at memorizing and a quick-learner being 4th place for her mid-terms. Sakura is very perspective and notices small details but especially looks at the big picture. In her dreams, she can seperate reality from her dreams being mostly concious in them, in nightmares, she has trouble seperating reality and her imagination out of fear, being terrified of her fears striking back.

Indomitable Will: Sakura has an incredible will-power that people fear, knowing that if she wants something very badly she can take it. Sakura would be an incredibly strong card to play for the villains and was immediately a suspect for the traitor, until they met her parents that is. Sakura's will overpowers her rationality many times and completely forgets about the best option, instead, she immediately performs her first thought. She can be quite reckless at times. Like when fighting Ayame, she showed incredible skill but mostly willpower, refusing to let her death be in vain.

Musical talent: Sakura was shown to be capable of playing the piano but was unable to read notes because she used to memorize each key for the song at each time. The creator of Sakura created a headcanon that Sakura is dyslexic and has quite a lot of trouble reading, especially in Japanese.


Quirk:

Dream (夢 Yume): Sakura's quirk allows her to recreate her dreams, excluding daydreams and lucid dreams. They are usually created from Sakura's own body, like her ring blade is created out of her own flesh, creating to many aspects in her dreams can heavily injure Sakura, if she does not deactivate her quirk before going unconcious, it will take months or possibly years for it to heal. The more Sakura remembers and the less Sakura creates; the more firm, strong and realistic her recreations get. They usually can only last for five minutes but Sakura can force herself to make it last longer.

Sakura has a strong grasp on her quirk, noted by Enji Todoroki, a top pro hero, because she is naturally creative her quirk can be a threat to her opponents. Not only can Sakura use her recreations as offense, but also for defense and to launch herself into the air. However, he could notice that Sakura refuses to show one of her cards.

As a part of Sakura's training, she needed to create as many recreations of her dreams as she could without passing out or going unconcious; being dangerous to her body, Shota Aizawa was assigned to suprvise her if something goes wrong.


Half-quirk:

Nightmare (悪夢 Akumu): According to Ayame, Sakura has better control of the nightmare part of her quirk than the dream part. Not much is known about the nightmare half of her quirk other that her pink eye represents the nightmares and can reflect her nightmares. Ayame described Sakura as a curse for her quirk. Many were afraid of her because of her quirk.

Sakura forgot all memories on how to use the nightmare half of her quirk but can use it when overwhelmed with anger, anguis, regret, guilt, sadness and confusion.


Supermoves:

Angel-Halo blade (天使 円光 中身 Tenshi enkō nakami): Sakura creates a large, round black blade and uses it to launch herself into the air. She often combines this move with various other moves. This was Sakura's first move she ever created and is the base supermove for every other supermove she has created

Reflecting light (反射光 Hansha hikari): Sakura launches herself up into the air with Angel-halo blade and spins around moving her body weight to deliver block her enemy from attacking her, deflecting it to her enemy, harming them. Sakura has had a hard time mastering this move because it takes quite a lot of concentration and ability to multi-task

Whirling dream (渦巻く夢 Uzumaku yume): Sakura transforms her halo blade into white, firm clouds and makes them spin around to block any attack coming to her and also using it as a mini-tornado. Usually, the clouds reflect Sakura's latest dreams.

A night filled with smoke and mist (煙と霧に満ちた夜 Kemuri to kiri ni michita yoru): Sakura transforms her firm clouds into thick mist to blind her opponent, Sakura can see through the mist; an aspect of her quirk. This was the base move of 'Smoke and mirrors'

Smoke and mirrors (煙と鏡 Kemuri to kagami): Sakura creates a mirror out of her own flesh and fills it with smoke and it predicts the future or her enemies future moves, however, if it shatters, the future can be changed and rewritten. If it was a good future, then there will be a bad future, if it was a bad future a good future will arise. However, the mirror can only be shattered accidently, not on purpose.

Eightfold sash wave (8倍のサッシ波 8-Bai no sasshi nami): Sakura creates eight sashes that can bend eight times and bounce back eight times, they can be directed in any way Sakura desires but can physically harm her to the point her arms can open up at any time. It is very dangerous to her and does not use this technique often. The sashes are described as firm as swords, as light as feathers and as sharp as knives.
