1945年的德國，一位叫克勞斯·馬丁（Klaus Martens)的醫生在阿爾卑斯山滑雪的時候不慎摔傷瞭腳。在康復過程中，為瞭走路的時候腿更輕松一些，克勞斯·馬丁和他的一個朋友在輪胎的橡膠材質裡灌入瞭空氣，開發出瞭“空氣氣墊鞋底”。
自59年起，這種鞋就開始大熱。雖然一開始隻有阿兵哥和工人階級在穿。
漸漸的被廣泛流行起來，在60年代便一發不可收拾。尤其是榮華腐國，幾乎整個國傢的男人人手一雙。
朋克粉更是愛它愛的要死！多少熱愛機車、搖滾的青年都為它淪陷。而且那個年代穿馬丁靴的人一定搭皮夾克穿（滿滿的年代共鳴感有木有？！）。
日常搭配，其實首選就是t恤、緊身牛仔褲。而且最贊的就是，這樣的搭配男生女生都能穿。誰穿誰帥！
