A Snake Catching Guide.

The mere thought that a thin, long body could suddenly submerge beneath your feet would be unnerving if you run your garden for hours in the heat of the day. Then you have to manage to regain entry into your garden. If you want to catch that snake, you must go in there where it is hiding. You can distract the snake with a long branch, yard stick, or fire poker. Hold your tool just above the snake's head by keeping its focus on you. In your other hand, you are going to grab the snake's tail. Keep the snake's body on the ground. It is never a good idea to pick up snakes by the tail alone! Lift the snake's front end as quickly as possible with your stick. During this point, hold the serpent's tail with one hand, and the stick which is holding up the snake with the other hand. In this way, you will be able to control the body of the reptile with minimal risk to yourself. Place the snake at a safe location for relocation. When you do not have nearby shelter for the animal, you can place it in a pillowcase and transport it by car. To release the snake, gently point the head in the direction you'd like it to travel in. When removing a snake from a pillow case, gently spread it out so that a good portion of the body is still covered. Back away from the pillowcase after you've left it on the ground. If your linen is still there after the snake has slithered away, take it back.

It may be too direct to drive the snake into a garbage can, so you can try to shoo it into one. You can guide the snake inside the bin with a broom by putting the bin on the ground. It is best not to hit or push the snake inside. You don't want to hurt it. Snakes cannot climb out of these smooth bins, which makes the relocation process safer.
A pillowcase and a shirt will work as a pest screen if your snake is inside your house. Place your shirt or light blanket over the snake and scoop it up, placing them both inside the pillowcase. Place the pillowcase inside a garbage bin or a large storage container so the snake can emerge if you like. A lid with holes over the container is required.
