I predict that Stanley and his friend are innocent people who have been wrongfully punished by the court for a crime that they did not commit. They were sent to the Juvenal detention centre till his case was solved. The guards thought it was a good idea to sent them to dig up a hole until they found a mysterious cave that lead them to an abundant warehouse.
After reading the first three chapters of the novel, I now predict that they will escape the juvenile detention centre and try to break the family/generational curse, but my prediction is also very accurate to the story
