The origins of Big Wheel are a mystery. Several theories have been developed over the years. One of the most prevalent ideas is that the original Big Wheel was used as a toy for children. Gabriel Weil, an inventor, designed it and it was made for a limited time. It became a popular toy for toddlers who loved to climb on top of the wheels. Eventually, powered cars came to use.
Newly empowered, Big Wheel pursued Rocket Racer across New York and eventually wound up meeting and battling with him on the Empire State Building. Weil didn't have any experience with his new car so Big Wheel crashed to the ground from the excitement of combat. It is generally accepted that the automobile wasn't the original. According to a popular quote, "If you have a boy, you can buy him a bicycle."
Benz, a bicycle tire company, took Weil’s design and gave it a new title. The Weil brothers sold the rights for the name "Big Wheel" to describe their new automobile in 1847. The Weil brothers quickly patent the design. Although bicycle tires had been used for decades prior to their discovery, it was not until the Weils that they could create a sturdy, stable bicycle wheel with a smooth external surface. The Weilers then began mass-producing the Big Wheel in various sizes.
Next came the creation of a model. The prototype was a strange looking four-wheeler vehicle without pedals and a seat. The prototype was quickly dubbed the "Weil Kid." The Weil Kid prototype was the perfect size to ride a bicycle. The bicycle wheel's large diameter allowed the rider to stop easily and roll smoothly. Manufacturers like Continental, Tomkins, or Poulan soon made the bicycle a standard-issue ride-on model.
The Niner is a specialized mountain bike made by Giant and has an interesting history. The Niner motocross bike is low-profile and freestyle. Giant was able, because it is a low-profile bike to make a lightweight but durable frame. Giant designed the Niner for dirt biking as well as competitive cycling events like the cyclocross.
As mountain bikes became more popular, so did interest in dirt bikes. Dirt bikes are similar in design to road bikes except that they have smaller wheels that can be maneuvered over obstacles like sand and gravel. Dirt bikes are preferred by many competitors to ride-on bikes due to their smaller tire contact area and greater maneuverability.
When choosing the best bike for someone, it is important that they consider their riding style and personality. A bigger wheel with a larger contact patch and a fat tire can be a great tool for maneuvering around tight corners and getting around obstacles. However, if the rider doesn't like to climb hills or switchbacks, the Niner might not be the best choice. You should also consider how many obstacles the rider will face. If the rider is competitive and prepared to tackle numerous obstacles, then the Big Wheel may be the better option.
Big Wheel: Giant's Big Wheel line of bicycle wheels are the perfect tool for cyclists who like to push themselves off the trail or mountain bike trails. Since the Big Wheel was first released, Giant has continued to improve the line, adding new features and variety to their collection of Big Wheel tires. Newer versions feature alloy rims and wider tire treads for increased traction on wet and muddy conditions. They also offer a variety of external links and safety features that make the Big Wheel stand out among other mountain bikes. The internet is a great resource for bicycling gear and accessories. Take some of your time to browse Giant’s Big Wheel products online.
