Genetics and Gambling The role of Genetics
What is special about gambling? It is it simply an opportunity to win or is it associated with some kind of fraud or dishonest strategies? The terms "gambling" as well as "deserving" can be interchanged in the Australian language. Which is the real meaning of the word?

There is ample evidence to suggest that an increase in risks from the environment could make people more prone to gamble. Studies of twins have demonstrated that identical twins who suffer from gambling disorders as well as unaffected twins are both more likely to suffer from gambling disorders than their fraternal twins.

Another subject that researchers have studied is the effect of body size on amount of gambling consumption.
