Texas Holdem Poker
Poker is a card game that has been popular from the late 1800's. Poker is also known as holdem, coveralls or three-suit stud, or five-card stud. Benjamin Stimpson, an American poker player, invented the game. Poker is one of the card games that allow players to bet on which hand is the most effective according to the rules. The goal of the game is to make the winning hand worth more than the one that loses. Usually , the betting rounds go quick and there is often a show, as in poker tournaments.

Texas Holdem is a game where players are given eight cards. One card is known as the big blind, the one that has the "big" face up. There are two smaller blinds, called the small pair as well as the bigger pair. A "poker wager" is a wager that gamblers place in the hopes of winning at least the same amount when other players show up.

After the initial round of betting has ended the players have to put forth one of their seven cards face open in front of them. The "lowest card" player is allowed to keep the game on. All other players must fold in case they are dealt lower cards. The player with "high card" must flop and the player who has "low card" must call. Once all players have played the cards, they are revealed and the new "highcard" is determined by the player who has the highest score.

"Action" in Texas Holdem is the number of times a bet has been raised above the amount of poker chips.

Following the action, players are given their turn. When the players have completed their turn the dealer will call the bet, and all players must place the bet before the next turn. After all other bets have been canceled, the bet is the last one. A player may fold prior to the turn if they have less five cards on his hands. When a player folds, the dealer takes over and hands out a new hand. When this hand is dealt, it is time for blinds to be utilized.
