Snakes, how to catch them, and other tips.

If you cannot catch it yourself, the quickest option is to hire a professional snake expert.
When you can absolutely ID a snake and know that it isn't venomous, grabbing it with thick gloves can be one of the easiest ways to catch it. It should be placed in a pillow case and moved elsewhere.

You can try shooing the snake into a large garbage bin if the above method is too direct. You can guide the snake inside the bin with a broom by putting the bin on the ground. You do not want to injure the snake by hitting or pushing it inside. A smooth side will prevent the snake from climbing out of the bin, which will allow for a safe relocation.
If your snake is indoors, you can remove it using a shirt and a pillowcase. Your shirt or blanket can be placed over the snake, and then you can scoop the snake and shirt up. You can place a pillowcase inside a garbage can or large storage bin to let the snake out. The lid should have holes for air flow. Now you can move your snake.
