Varieties in Poker
Poker, also known as holdem poker, is any of the many games played with cards in which players place their bets on which hand they believe is the best based on the rules of the game. Poker can be played in a variety of variations, such as Texas Holdem as well as Badugi, Omaha, Five-Card Stud, and Italian. Poker can be played online through programs that run software as well as through online games.

The most common form of poker is known as holdem poker. In this form, every player has their own deck with chips in the middle representing money, and each card is described as poker chips.
