5. edelweis eropa: Panjang tangkai bunga sekitar 3-20 cm bahkan 40 cm dan setiap bunga terdiri dari 5-6 kepala bunga kuning kecil (5mm) yg dikelilingi daun muda menjadi bentuk bintang, memiliki daun dan bunga yang ditutupi bulu-bulu putih seperti wool.
edelweis jawa: Bentuk daun linier, memiliki bulu-bulu putih seperti wol, panjang daun 4-6 cm, dan lebar daun 0,5 cm. Bentuk bunganya istimewa, karena kepala-kepala sari membentuk tabung yang mengumpul menjadi satu dalam satu wadah. Tidak seperti jenis Eropa yang berpencar satu sama lain. Batang Edelweiss Jawa ditutupi oleh kulit batang yang kasar dan bercelah yang dapat menyimpan air.
