Scalpers took advantage of the shortage, attempting to sell the console for thousands of dollars. Streaming video however, such as Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max will support 8K resolution shortly, as the processing power needed to encode 8K video is far less than it is to render in a PS5 game. That's a big step up, but it's worth pointing out that the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Series X but the PS5 Digital Edition is identical to the standard PS5 except for the lack of a disc drive.
