Because of the dirt or oils that may be present on the hands, touching the open Torah scroll is strongly discouraged. During the Torah reading in the synagogue, many readers routinely use a small sculpture of a hand with a pointing finger, made of wood or metal, to point the place in the scroll as they read. The object is referred to as a "YAHD", a Hebrew word meaning 'hand'.
Albert Einstein
He was a German-born Jewish scientist of the 20th century. He was a great inventor and his collaborations had patented numerous inventions in various countries.
His parents were both Jewish; however, they were not practicing Jews. In fact, they sent Einstein to a Catholic school. Which religion his parents practiced at home is a little bit ambiguous, although it seems to be the case that they did not practice any sort of religion. His father once allegedly called Jewish something to the effect of ancient fairy tales.
