Craps

Understanding the probabilities or dice combinations is the key to understanding the mathematics behind craps. My strategies only allow me to place bets with the highest probability of winning. These are the pass line with odds, come bets with odds, occasional place bets on the 6 and 8, don't pass laying the odds, and don't come either with or without laying the odds.

1 player games in craps falls to 0.8% if you make the above-mentioned wagers. To reduce the house percentage, you can take only one odds on the pass line and come bets. This will reduce it to the 0.8 %... single odds. To reduce it further to the 0.6 %... tri odds. To make it almost as good as dead even, you can reduce it to the 0.5 %... triple odds.

I'm often asked at seminars why place bets don't perform as well as come bets. The answer lies in the combination of dice. To illustrate, a place wager can be used. You can only win a direct bet on the number 5, which is also known as a place betting, on four different dice combinations: 1-4-4-1, 2-3, 3-2 and 2-2. That's it! The bet loses when a 7 (which has 6 different combinations) is rolled. This is 6 to 4 or 3 to 2 against, depending on the combination of dice.

Let's examine a come bet. When the come bet sits in the come area, it wins on a seven or 11 for a total of eight dice combinations and loses on a 2, 3 or 12 for a total of 4 dice combinations. It's 6-4, or 2 to 1 in favor of you for the immediate win over an immediate loss. This means that if the come bet is placed on the 5, it has an additional 4 combinations of dice to win. So, the come bet that started in the come area and went to the 5 had 12 dice combinations to win, versus only 5 combinations for the place bet on the 5. That is a significant advantage. This analysis can be applied to every place bet.

Adding the fact that you can take odds on all come bets, the casino advantage on place bets on the 4 or 10 is 6.7%; on place bets on the 5 or 9, it's 4%; and place bets on the 6 and 8, it's 1.5%. A come bet, no matter what number it goes to is only 0.8% with single odds, the exact same odds as the pass line with single odds.

To win in craps you must limit the casino's advantage. Also, money management will allow you to take advantage of all streaks. That's the Benson Strategies.

Blackjack

Blackjack is the only online casino game where the benefit or disadvantage of each card can change. Because the game favors the house by 4 percent, you can break the dealer and get the money. The house, of course!

This house advantage can be reduced to 1.5% by playing basic strategy. This makes it an enjoyable game. It is possible to expect a positive return with good basic play and smart money management.

In addition, basic strategy combined with tracking of cards played can increase the player's advantage by 1%. As long as there are no high cards in the deck or shoe, the player has an advantage. High cards favor the player because they give the player a better chance to get a "pat" hand and also they increase the dealer's chance of breaking. The dealer must hit 16 or less cards. A dealer break is more likely if there are high cards left.

Simple hi-lo counts, which are useful for single deck game play, and card clumping techniques (which are great for shoe games), are the most commonly used methods for tracking. An advantage of 1% means that blackjack, when played correctly, is the only casino game that can provide a positive mathematical return.

Baccarat

Baccarat is a game with negative expectations, just like roulette and craps. This means that the house has always the upper hand. This means that mathematically, there is no way to place the odds in the favor of the player. This can only be done with perfect blackjack card counting (which is why of course they don't let you win a lot).

Follow the trend to win at baccarat. Trends will emerge in any combination of random or almost random events. You won't have enough lay to determine statistical significance, as these numbers depend on a lot of play. One possibility is that there are 50% more bankers than players, which would be very interesting.

Since there is so much happening at the casino, they are statistically significant. They cannot lose from gaming itself. They are only able to lose players and typical business profit/loss. But they do not LOSE on the gaming itself. It is not possible. But it is very possible for the casino to lose to individual players. The casino makes up for these losses because they have enough players to make the mathematics work for them in the long run.

This last point should be very important. Because unless you play 24 hours a day, you will never be playing by the same mathematical statistics as the casino. This is quickly eliminated with our money management rules and departure rules. The casino will only beat the Baccarat player by his or her lack of discipline and/or poor play.


Roulette

Roulette has a 5.26% advantage on the player. This is because of the 38 numbers that are on the wheel: 1-36, zero and 00. The payoffs, however, are based on the 36 numbers only, not the 0 and 00. The single number pays 35-1. So, simply stated, the 0 and 00 are the casino's edge.

Over a long time, the casino can enjoy a distinct mathematical advantage.
