2. How to focus a microscope on high power
1. focus the microscope on LOW POWER first using coarse adjustment knob
2. then, focus on MEDIUM POWER with coarse and fine adjustment knobs, being careful with the coarse adjustment
3. finally, adjust on high power focusing only with FINE ADJUSTMENT KNOB
3. How to find total magnification:
Low power: 4x
Medium power: 10x
High power: 40x
when finding the total magnification, multiply that number by 10
4. Making a wet mount
1. place a drop of water on the clear rectangle thing
2. place the specimen on the water
3. then, put the clear square thing on top of all the water and the specimen slowly on the edge. it's hard to explain
without actually doing it.
