* Edelweis Jawa : Bentuk daun linier, berwarna hijau abu abu muda, memiliki bulu-bulu putih seperti wol, panjang daun 4-6 cm, dan lebar daun 0,5 cm. Bentuk bunganya istimewa, karena kepala-kepala sari membentuk tabung yang mengumpul menjadi satu dalam satu wadah. batang ditutupi oleh kulit batang yang kasar dan bercelah yang dapat menyimpan air.
* Edelweis Eropa : Panjang tangkai bunga sekitar 3-20 cm bahkan 40 cm dan setiap bunga terdiri dari 5-6 kepala bunga kuning kecil (5mm) yg dikelilingi daun muda menjadi bentuk bintang, memiliki daun dan bunga yang ditutupi bulu-bulu putih seperti wool.
