When removing a snake from a pillow case, gently spread it out so that a good portion of the body is still covered. Back away and let the pillowcase fall to the ground. You can reclaim the linen once the snake has slithered off.
In case the above method is too direct, you can try to throw the snake into a trash bin. A broom can be used to guide the snake into the bin once it's on the ground. Make sure you don't hit or push the snake. This will injure it. A smooth bin will prevent the snake from climbing out and will allow for safe relocation.
Snakes can be removed from a house using a shirt and pillowcase if they are inside. Scoop up your shirt or light blanket and place it in the pillowcase with the snake. In case the snake emerges, place the pillowcase inside a garbage can or large storage container. Make sure the container has an air-tight lid. You can now transport your snake. In the event of a snake that is indoors, a snake trap will work. Outdoors, I advise against using glue-based traps since they can inhumanely capture other small animals.
