Days passed so slowly back in the day when you were a child, you always managed to do everything you wanted to do and there was still a lot of free time left, but now, at least for me it's so hard to keep up with the schedule, and I put these things off until tomorrow, and again until tomorrow, and again.

Our mindest are so alike. I have also been interested in other languages and cultures. Since childhood I have read a lot of scientific magazines, watched travel programs, wondering what it is like to live in the furthest corners of the world. I come from a country that is near a small town and most people here are narrow-minded, afraid to try new things, stuck in this enduring but poor monotony.
Partly that's how I was, when I was a teenager as well, and if it wasn't for the Internet I would still be stuck in that sad place. There are no people from other cultures in my area that I could meet, fortunately I came across many new blogs and travel channels on YouTube and that brought my old travel dreams to life. In 2016, I discovered a event that is to take place in Kraków, Poland - World Youth Day. Basically, it is an event mainly for Catholic youth from all over the world, during which various religious events are going on and of course a mass with the Pope. In that year 3 million people came to this event so it was kind of big deal. It was the second day of the event, I was watching reportage on TV about it, people from all over the world were having fun together, it was something beautiful. I was sad that even though this is happening in Poland I couldn't go as I was really shy back then and had no one to go with. On the third day I woke up and still felt sad, I thought it was better to try no matter what outcome will be than not trying and then regretting. A quick impulsive decision - I'm going there. I checked bus timetable, took a few things in my backpack and went there. Didn't regret this decision for a second, people who were there and the atmosphere was indescribable. All of them representing their countries with flags, music and dances, friendly to each other, from all corners of the world, might seem so different, but all the same. As I was so shy at the time, no matter how many times I tried, I couldn't overcome my anxiety to talk to foreigners 😆, but still, I came home happy and decided to travel around the world one day to get to know other countries. The job that fits my requirements perfectly is in IT field because it allows you to work remotely and travel around the world at the same time. Now my mood is kind of punctured but I still believe in myself. I understand people who told you that language alone is not enough. I still doubt my decision but I hope that after I finish my language major I will find a job in technology startup as i have some knowledge in that field and I will be able to combine my two passions: languages and new technologies. This is something new for me, because at the age of a dozen or so, I already had my future planned; IT studies, a few years of working in Poland and then remote working on some warm island. I didn't see any other possibility. If only I had known that life was so unpredictable 😔

The grass is always greener on the other side. Who knows, maybe if you studied languages then you would think what would happen if you chose psychology. There are no people who don't regret their decisions, If you look back in the past you will surely find such moments in your life when you thought a very high wall was blocking you from your goals, you tried to jump over it without success, maybe then you didn't see another way to beat that, but as time flew by and you gained a new perspective, you noticed that this sky-high obstacle was very narrow and you could just pass by the wall. Practical knowledge is usually very different from the theoretical one that is taught at universities. Your suffer won't last forever Mia. You can't have a rainbow without rain. I believe in you 😉

Isn't Chinese like progenitor for the other Eastern Asian languages? I know that in Korean a lot of words have Chinese origin, in Japanese it seems to be similar, there are hiragana, katakana and kanji and one of those is Chinese characters, right?
Apart from English, I only learned German at school, which has little to do with Polish, because both languages come from two different families and unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to that language which I really regret now. As I'm learning Korean vocabulary now I see how difficult it is for me to learn new words, it takes several times more than in German, I blame the Asian langaues for not using the Latin alphabet 😄
When it comes to Slavic languages, Poles can understand Slovak and Czech the most, a little bit of Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian. Generally, when speaking slowly, simple conversations are feasible.

That's great to hear! I hope you didn't give up by the time you recive this letter. Beginning is the worst. Once you get into the habit of working out, you won't even think about skip it :D Most girls usually work out at home and after a while they lose motivation, from my experience I know it's hard to focus and go all out there. Remember that you do it for your satisfaction and your body. If you stick to a routine for a longer time you will see progress 😃

Thank you so so much for that song! I listen to that over and over again, it suits my taste in 100%, lyrics, flow, beat, everything is amazing. I didn't expect Juice WRLD to hit me right in the feels, so sad when you combine his lyrics with his tragic end. RASCAL - RMR and Chicago Freestyle - Drake are my songs for you. You have to watch music video of the first one on YouTube and tell me if you were expecting that sound, Drake's song is not on Spotify yet, so you can watch it on YT as well.

I admit, you write a lot, but it's very impressive in my opinion. Sometimes I can't even express myself in Polish, not to mention English. You shouldn't feel bad about that but be proud 😃

I will always reply to your letters, sometimes it will take me a little more time, sometimes less, but I do not plan to delete this app. We can get to know each other better here and later switch to another platform, what do you think?
You can send me your WeChat as I created account there to stay in touch with a girl I met on this app. I would be very happy if I could add you there to my short friends list 😄.
