I'm writing to discuss the reduction of my work status to part time and retain my current title. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to expand the digital marketing efforts of Westfield Consulting.
As discussed earlier with the management, I enrolled in a graduate program this year and it is my hope that I will be able to parlay this new knowledge to the marketing department. However, I would find it impractical to participate in both activities while maintaining my own high standards of professionalism and excellence.
While I understand company policy that all staff must work full time, I'd like to continue with my work schedule as adjusted at the beginning of the year, considering the compromises I've made and my due diligence on my responsibilities in the last two months since my work schedule was adjusted.
Since it's my intention to continue working for the company, I'm open to discussing a new contract or continue with what it was adjusted to in January.
