"Deep Exceed" Aldious, debut album released October 10th, 2010

Cover art: Features the band standing in front of a wall where one half of the wall is a galaxy and the other half is a pink that gets lighter the further it goes down and darker the further it goes up. I really do like the pose atru is doing for whatever reason in the right-hand corner. 7/10 cover
1. Luft −Opening−
a piano balled like an intro that works well

2. Luft
Some great riffs to start us off and there is some good energy in these riffs. the guitar mix is slightly too loud and overpowers the vocals a little too much. Arteryu's drumming has the right amount of punch to it on the snare. the guitar solo starts off nice and bluesy, and while it picks up in speed it is still very melodic thought a good majority of the solo. there are some great guitar melodies and is a great example of the concept of aldious at its core, ultimate melodious.

3. Yoru Chou
the drum snare is too compressed on the mix. there is some nice open strumming by one guitar while the other is playing more study and quickly. the chorus has some good use of multiple vocal tracks to emphasize certain points of it.

4. Bind
great bass line, and some good riffs, the riffs do genuinely sound right out of 80s metal. while there is the same problem with the drum mix as the last song, it has slightly less compression. really like the double kick in the chorus. there is also a great amount of pause in the vocals from line to line. and some really good vibrato at the end from Remi before the outro instrumental

5. Shion*
the guitar has a nice melody and the bass really gives the song an extra kick here, the chorus on here is quite catchy too. the song itself is mixed quite well. the drum mix is solid too.

6. Dual Personality*
there are some fast riffs to start. the riffs are aggressive. and remis vocals does this interesting contrast to both being smooth and soft but at the same time having a deal of power behind them. also, there is some good use of panning with the vocals. she witches between them well...which goes well with the theme from the song, I mean come on people... it's in the title of the song!

7. Across*
piano ballad. remis vocals have a little bit of softness to them, but there is great power to them there are some nice synths on this song too, which really work well with the song. they sound very string-like.

8. Ultimate Melodious (Album Version)*
ahh, a staple of the band at every concert even too this day. this song has some nice riffs and it is a very fun song. I really love how polished this version of this song is. it took all the good ideas the song had in the "Dear Slave" version and really amped it up. there is a great brass section, and the use of effects like reverb and compression pays off well. there is a great reprise section too after the verse.

9. Eversince (Metal Version)*
there is really some great power from Remi's vocals being let out here and she belts it out. the guitar solo on this track is really insane

10. Premixed Flame
there are some good strong melodies here. little instrumental moment of the guitar I before the chorus is odd but it works well. the bass goes along with it well
11. Deep
the guitar melody is really catchy and works well with the vocal solo at the start. it is a solid closer

-the album gets better as it goes on
-some of the songs at the start do feel like just slightly polished versions of songs that did not make the cut for "Dear slave"
-due to this the mix is a little bit inconsistent because you have some most the album having great production but the first few songs do feel a bit limited in that department
-the drum mix being the biggest offender.
-the re-recorded songs from the demo are much more polished and really do feel like they have been upgraded from the demo
-Remi gives a great vocal performance throughout the album.
-the songs are centered around creating memorable memories
-the album is a strong recommend if you're having that itch for 80s heavy metal
-the drums and bass are solid
-the guitars are the main drive point instrumentally.
