İlkokul zamanlarını fazla sorun yaratmadan bitirsede Louis Kıdemli Lisesinde işler aynı gitmedi. Okulda çeteleşme olayları fazlasıyda mevcuttu. Lorenzo'da bunlardan birisine üye olmuştu.
Çete üyeleriyle birlikte diğer akranlarına karşı gasp, yaralama, tehditler savurarak okulu alt üst etmişlerdi.
İşleri iyice büyüterek ecstasy ve marijuanas satmaya başladılar.
Okul dışarısından şehirin büyük suç örgütlerinden para karşılığı uyuşturucu alıp satmaya başladılar.
Dışarıda işler çok iyi değildi, bu yüzden okul içerisinde de satışını sürdürmeye başladılar.
Bu iş Lorenzo'yu kötü etkilemişti ve artık Lorenzo uyuşturucu bağımlısı olmuştu.
Bir gün satışı yaparken polislerin baskını sonucu bütün suç üstüne kaldı ve hapise gönderildi.
St Louis Islah Tesisinde koğuşundaki abilerinden yeni tecrübeler edindi.
Hapiste gün sayarken toplu af çıkması üzerine Lorenzo'da serbest kalmıştı.
Hapisten çıktıktan sonra eskileri yad etti ve dostlarından bir miktar para alıp uçak bileti aldı ve Vice'a doğru yola çıktı.
Şehire geldiğinde cebinde bir miktar para ve çocukluğundan kalma bir çakı vardı.
Yeni arkadaşlar edinmiş ve eskiden yaptığı işlere devam etmeye karar vermiştir.
