katherine sheridan is the deuteragonist on Andi Mack. She is Andi, Jonah and Cyrus' best friend. She is a recovering anorexic. katherine is portrayed by jordan brooks.
PERSONALITY
katherine is funny, kind, brave and always finding herself in trouble. she has arguably been through the most in the good hair crew (her eating disorder, losing her father when she was young, coming out etc) which surprisingly gives her a humorous, experienced out look on the world. although usually being quite laid back, she values her friends more than anything. for example, when she threw a milkshake at a 9th grader for making fun of cyrus. she, like buffy, is quite athletic, excelling in gymnastics and basketball, when needed. she also has a gift for photography and drawing, although often doubts her talents due to her believing she is dumb, because of her dyslexia. katherine is a lesbian, which causes her several issues in season 3, despite the fact that several of her friends were already out of the closet. by the end of season 3b, she has come to terms with her feelings for a girl and has started to date amber, therefore overcoming her previous fears of unacceptance.

she is very rarely seen without a smile in season 1, although we see a more serious side to her though season 2 and 3, as she battles with anorexia and a fear of coming out, due to her believing she will not be accepted by her loved ones.

although being calm and tranquil most of the time, katherine can very rarely get quite angry and become jealous. in the past, she has also betrayed people by not thinking before opening her mouth, whilst in a bad mood, such as after jonah accused her of ignoring him, she blurted out to andi that he still wanted to get back with her, therefore breaking her and jonah's friendship, until the end of season 2b.

PHYSICAL APPEARENCE
katherine has quite a slim, but tall build. she gradually loses a small amount of weight to outline her disordered eating, but also due to her portrayer, jordan brooks, having similiar issues with disordered eating. despite this she is quite athletic and vastly flexible. she has blonde/blue/green below the shoulder hair, which is usually straightned, in a low ponytail or in braid. she usually wears quite casual, but dark clothing, such as black and/or ripped jeans, flannel style jackets, tight fitting crop tops, belted shorts, cropped hoodies, etc. she often wears grey, white, black or blue. she wore baggier clothing, such as sweatpants, leggings, hoodies etc, in several episodes in season 2a, 2b and rarely in 3a. when she has a sporting event, she wears slightly more athletic clothing.

BIOGRAPHY
katherine lives with her mother and 3 older brothers. she lost her father in a car accident when she was 9 and her mother has not remarried since. katherine was a student at granite hills middle school, but got kicked out due to her amount of detentions, suspensions and lack of received homework, however in 'home away from home' she admitted that the reason she didn't complete any given work was because she found it hard to read but didn't want to admit it, despite her diagnosis, so just let her school administration think it was due to rebellion, therefore resulting in her expulsion. due to her longtime best friend being there, kat moved to jefferson middle school, where she met, and now attends with, her best friends, andi, cyrus, buffy and tj.

TRIVIA
- the character's original name was katrina, but was changed due to it being to similiar to her portrayers real first name, korinna.
- she has known jonah for 'as long as she could remember'
- she became friends with tj due to them both repeatdly being in detention for lack of work, leading to them opening up to each other about tj's discalculia and kat's dyslexia
- kat's full name was not revealed until 'i wanna hold your wristband'
- her surname was not revealed until the following episode 'head over heels'
- she was not in the first season theme tune, due to her not being introduced in the second episode, but was still considered a main character
- kat was absent in 'a good hair day' due to jordan being absent, that day of filming.
- although it was hinted at, kat's sexuality was not confirmed until the season 3 finale, making her and amber the first lesbian romance on Disney Channel
- kat is the first Disney lead to have a confirmed eating disorder
