AURORA SINISTRA
Aurora Sinistra merupakan seorang Penyihir Inggris yang mengajar pelajaran Astronomi di Hogwarts. Beliau mengajar Astronomi kurang lebih selama 10 tahun. Profesor Sinistra ini membantu Harry Potter di Hogwarts. Contoh, pada tahun ajaran 1992-1993, ia turut menemukan seorang siswa yang menjadi batu, yaitu Justin Finch-Fletchley. Ia membatu karena disebabkan oleh ia tidak sengaja melihat mata Basilisk melalui Nearly Headless Nick. Profesor Sinistra membantu memindahkan Justin Finch-Fletchley tadi bersama Profesor Filius Flitwick ke Madam Pomfrey yang berada di Hospital Wing. Profesor Sinistra adalah sosok wanita yang serius dan disiplin juga tegas serta merupakan salah satu guru hogwarts yang sangat kompeten, karena pelajarannya yang diperiksa oleh Dolores Umbridge dianggap cukup memuaskan sehingga beliau tidak dikenakan tindakan disipliner. Nama Profesor Sinistra kemungkinan merujuk pada fakta bahwa Astronomi kebanyakan dilakukan pada malam hari, ketika langit gelap dan Aurora, menunjukkan hubungan dengan fajar atau lebih tepatnya merujuk ke fenomena aurora.
