Thank you very much for the opportunity to interview for the teaching position at Larry G. Smith Elementary. I enjoyed talking to you and learning more about your school. I was particularly interested in your focus on the goals for having the students reading on grade-level, becoming numerically knowledgeable, and increasing the attendance rate through many incentives.
I would like to help your school achieve the goals by contributing my skills and experience to creating an engaging classroom environment that supports social emotional learning while helping each student reach their goals by the end of the year. My experience with the students in Mansfield Independent School District have helped me to develop strategies to reach students, parents, and community along with the appreciation of diversity that is presented in today's classroom.
As discussed I have a special interest in incorporating social emotional learning in the classroom and have experience along with taking courses to facilitate this.
