The 21 year old Slovenian has been playing pro since he was 16 yeah 16-year-old playing against grown men
During his time in Europe play pro ball, he averaged 17 pts 6.4 assists and 7.6 rebounds and then made his way to the NBA draft in 2018 where he was selected the third pick by the Atlanta Hawks but was later traded to the mavericks for Trae young.
During his rookie season he was putting up phenomenal numbers, 21.2 pts 6ast and 7.8 rebs per game which later earned him the well deserved 2019 rookie of the year award.
Then in the 2019 to 2020 season he was putting up 28.7 points 8.7ast and 9.3 rebs, if you ask me for a player in his 2nd season these stats are pretty good but this season has been suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus.
These numbers are similar to players like LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard but its hard to make comparisons like this to Luka Doncic because the young superstar is only in his 2nd year.
So what I'm going to be doing is looking at both Lebron and Kawhi's first 2 years and comparing them Lukas first 2 years.
Looking at what some say is the greatest player in NBA history, Lebron James who is a 3-time NBA champion 4-time MVP nad 3-time finals MVP, put up an average of 24 points 6.5ast 6.4rbs in his first 2 seasons in the league.
Now moving on to Kawhi Leonard who is a 2 time NBA champion and 2-time finals MVP had a slow start in his first few years in the league, Kawhi put up an average of 10pts 1.3ast and 5.6 rbs in his first 2 seasons in the NBA.
