Kastil Bran, terletak di daerah Bran, Transylvania, kastil ini dianggap sebagai inspirasi Bram Stoker untuk dijadikan setting istana tempat tinggal Count Dracula.
Popularitas kastil ini sangat tinggi di mata para penggemar film horor, hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya suvenir berbau drakula, vampir, atau hal-hal horor yang dijajakan oleh pedagang di halaman kastil ini.
Sebuah dokumen menyatakan bahwa kastil ini berdiri pada 1377, ketika Wallachia masih menjadi bagian dari Kerajaan Hungaria.
Tujuan dibangunnya kastil ini adalah sebagai garda pertahanan Kerajaan Hungaria. Lalu pada 1920, daerah Transylvania berpindah tangan dari Hungaria ke Rumania yang saat itu berbentuk kerajaan. Kastil ini kemudian menjadi milik keluarga Kerajaan Rumania.
Kastil Bran dipropagandakan sebagai kastil drakula untuk menarik turis dari negara-negara barat. Maka dari itu kini citranya menjadi 'istana drakula'.
Kastil Bran sendiri sekarang beralih fungsi menjadi museum yang menyimpan banyak peninggalan keluarga Kerajaan Rumania.
