Langit cerah, berwarna biru terang. Awan-awan pun terlihat seperti kapas tipis. Bunga bermekaran, dihembus angin sepoi-sepoi. Suara burung bernyanyi terdengar bersahutan dengan tawa anak-anak.
Alice terlihat lebih dewasa. Mungkin beberapa tahun lebih tua? Yang jelas, Alice sekarang mengenakan mahkota di kepala. Bajunya indah, warnanya kuning dengan sentuhan keemasan pada detil-detil kecilnya.
Tapi wajah Alice menunjukkan kekhawatiran saat itu. Di telapak tangan kiri yang tergenggam, muncul sulur berwarna ungu tua yang tak diketahui asalnya.

Mimpi 2
Mikado sedang berada di tengah hutan. Dia duduk di meja—bekas tebangan pohon ek—yang pinggirnya ditumbuhi lumut. Dia berhadapan dengan seorang lelaki yang wajahnya cukup familiar, tapi Mika tidak ingat siapa. Lelaki itu sudah cukup tua, kepalanya botak di bagian depan dan rambutnya pirang kusam. Kumisnya tebal, warnanya hitam. Saat itu, sang lelaki sedang berbicara dengan mimik sangat serius. Lelaki itu mengeluarkan buku lusuh bersampul hijau amat tua, dan tiba-tiba, Mika terlihat pucat.
