It seemed like this kind of thing always happened to Rose Lalonde. In all honesty, t was selfish to attempt to make herself believe that nothing would go wrong this year. It was the beginning of her final semester at SBURB University, a college that she was extremely aware wouldn't jumpstart her long life of success, but, because she hates packing, thought it would be good enough to get by. Luckily, she hadn't had to work a job re-stocking shelves or delivering pizza, but that meant she would have to live in the on-campus dormitories seeing as her savings fund just depleted due to the 3 years of apartment rent. So, when she got the email from the dean of students saying that there would be a complete change in roommates and living situations, she couldn't help but feel a slight dread.

What if her new roommate had it out for her just because she wasn't someone else? "What if they take all my bras and put them in the freezer like those old teen chick-flicks? What if they got all their furniture sets from IKEA? What if they own a mini-fridge? I'm supposed to be friendly to this person how can I do that when I am well aware of the fact that they store perishable foods in an irritatingly tiny storage container?" She let the some-what outlandish thoughts run through her mind... Ironically of course; as she waited in an elevator for what seemed like forever. In a stroke of luck, there was nobody else going up to the 3rd floor, so her boxes were able to fit in the small metal deathtrap alongside her.

After a moment, the doors opened and she was able to make her way towards the giant list that was posted across from the elevator on the side of a wall. She took a moment to look around with a raised eyebrow at the twisting halls around her. The walls were painted a muted blue, with posters and bulletin boards seemingly multiplying as she flicked her eyes in all directions. It didn't have a bad smell per se, but there was no doubt a strong smell. The carpet was definitely recycled from an office that went bankrupt 25 years ago...

She took a few steps forward to run her eyes down the list that was hopefully not purposely printed in comic sans. She rolled her eyes and then continued reading. It wasn't out of the ordinary to see pair of co-ed roommates, but most colleges didn't allow it. But when she finally found her name on the list and ran her finger across, she huffed. "Dave Strider... huh, well I hope he doesn't have a minifridge." And with that, she turned to her right and started down the hall to room 329.
