When it comes to tissue and organ bioengineering, Surgeons have been able to replace skin by infusing artificial skin as well as cartilage, a form of connective tissue, which has worked successfully. Doctors have also been able to create artificial blood vessels, however, they're being tested on patients and aren't deemed fully safe yet. However, there are some setbacks and limits to bioengineering, which is explained through four categories. The first category consists of groups of cells like the skin, while the second category muscle tissues like blood vessels that are a little more complex, then are the connective tissues, also known as “hollow sac-like organs, like the bladder or stomach.”(Paragraph 6) The last category of limits is the most intricate organs and tissues to create; the heart, lungs, and kidneys. Also, there are many unanswered questions about synthetic organs, such as if they can be preserved or if they could be created rapidly.
