*Grey dug his claws into the damp bark of the tree, he climbed up it slowly breathing, heavy, but slow and calm breaths. He watched the bucks below, their horns wrestling each other for females. He had tracked the herd for a week, eating small rats and rabbits until he finally caught up, the herd had taken him on a long journey that had left him very tired. He rested on the tree and looked each deer up and down, his eyes trailed off to the wrestling bucks and held there for a moment. A brief wind carried the scent of the deer straight at Grey. His hungry stomach growled at him for not acting faster.*

*Watching the deer graze, he closed his eyes and slowly, his body started to fade, a moment later he was invisible. pacing along the thin branches that shivered under his weight, he jumped, diving down to the ground, he spread his wings just before hitting the grass, the breeze of his wings alerted a few of the deer, but they quickly went back to munching on the grass.*

*Trotting nimbly across the grass, he stopped at one of the tree stumps he crouched behind a small deer, close enough to pounce but to far to be sensed. leaping forward. His invisibility stopped just as he clutched the doe in his grip. the rest of the herd scattered leaving Grey and the doe tumbling down the hill. Grey shook his head standing up, he looked around and followed the dirt path he and the doe left all the way up the hill. His head ached and his wing was injured. The doe lay on the ground next to him, head bashed in by a rock it hit, obviously with full force. Grey grimaced.* "That could have been me." *He shook his scales shivering.* "Thank God it wasn't."
