To whom it may concern:

I am a concerned student heading off to college in a few years and I have heard about the bigoted posts of the UNCW professor, Mike Adams. It saddens me that his rhetoric is being used to shape his students and America's future leaders.

Let me be clear, I absolutely respect his right to conservative ideas and lectures. However, I am not okay when his words can be used to make minorities feel unsafe on campus. Especially since there have been numerous reports of him bullying minorities and people he politically disagrees with. You can find these accounts of his bullying on the change.org petition against him's comments.

For example, Mr. Adams has written the following on Twitter:

"When someone kills a cop you know his last words were probably either 'Allahu Akbar' or 'Black Lives Matter,'"

"Black Lives Matter supporters are either racist, emotionally unstable, or suffering from severe intellectual hernia. Or all of the above,"

"Forcing ObamaCare on the states, forcing gay marriage on the states, banning [Confederate solider] symbols of states rights. A hell of a week for totalitarianism,"

And countless others on Twitter. I am worried for the minority students at UNCW who have to take his classes and feel unsafe and unwelcome by his speech. Please do something--whether it be demotion or severing ties. Is this professor or the well-being of students more important to you?
