-relativo= il massimo grado della qualità in un gruppo, espresso con un complemento partitivo (il più alto.)
-assoluto= il massimo grado senza limiti di riferimento o sottintesi (è molto alto/altissimo).
prendi il genitivo e togli la desinenza e aggiungi il suffisso -issimus/issima/issimum e si declina come gli aggettivi della prima classe.
gli avverbi invece ricavano il superlativo dall'aggettivo completo dalla desinenza -e=issime (assai ....) (ex. assai ampiamente).
*superlativo relativo= si trova con :
- il complemento partitivo espresso con genitivo, e/ex/de +ablativo, inter+accusativo (il più..) (di,tra,fra)
*superlativo assoluto=si rende con (assai, molto)(-issimo).
il superlativo può essere seguito da
-avverbio "longe" (di gran lunga)
-accompagnata dal numerale "unus" (senza paragone) segiuto dal genitivo "omnium" (fra tanti).
-preceduto da "quam" (il più possibile).
