After the flash in the State of New Jersey, chaos ensued. Being the most densely populated state in The United States of America, naturally stores and places with supplies were looted, and anarchy started taking place among the people that did survive. During this chaotic time, the Coastal Coalition was formed, with a goal of making sure that the history of New Jersey, and its values would never be forgotten. At that point in time, the coalition was made up of a small group of people from the northern counties of the state. This group of people, acts as the head of the coalition today. In the present day, the Coalition spans across multiple states, mostly on the east coast of The US. It has evolved into a welcoming group, where restoring what remains of society, and preserving its history is the number 1 goal. It's not uncommon to see members of the Coastal Coalition outside of the east coast, whether it be on a diplomatic mission with other groups, on a mission to find historic items not present on the east coast, or just members of the Coalition not living there. Members of the Coalition have varying views on subjects such as religion and politics, restricting any such view would hinder the ability to preserve history! The coalition boasts a small division of forces, including an army, a state guard, and a navy. The army and navy use acquired weapons (mostly small arms) and acquired vehicles (mostly civilian) to defend territories claimed by the coalition or territories of allies in need of defense. The State guard is similar to the pre-flash U.S national guard, so much to the point that the following statement is a modified exerpt from the former U.S national guard website. The Guard responds to domestic emergencies, out of territory combat missions, counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions and more. The head of the coalition can call on the Guard in a moment’s notice. Guard Soldiers can hold civilian jobs while maintaining their military training part time. Guard Soldiers’ primary area of operation is their home state.
