VA health care enrollment: details, benefits, and How to apply?
VA stands for Veteran Act which gives Veterans more significant access to health care in VA facilities and the community, expands benefits for caregivers, and improves VA’s ability to recruit and retain the best medical providers. 
What are the benefits of VA health care act?
VA health care act covers medical illness for the people those who are qualified for TRICARE. Those who didn’t qualify for that can apply for CHAMPVA that covers your medical expenses partially. The Pregnancy health insurance cover also covers any health issues if you have congenital disabilities and are the biological child of a War Veteran.
The CHAMPVA also covers any prescription costs through local medication shops or online medication. It also includes any significant ailments and will cover the expenses of your treatment.
General Requirements for VA health care enrollment
As stated by the government to be eligible for VA health care, you must have:
Had active duty in the military and weren’t discharged dishonorably.
It would be best if you were enlisted after September 7, 1980, and entered active duty after October 16, 1981.
At least served for 24 months uninterrupted.
If you are a member of the National Guard or a Reservist, you may qualify if you had active duty by a federal order and served for the full period you were called for.
Veterans who served before September 7, 1980, do not have to meet a minimum service requirement to be eligible for VA health care.
There are always some exceptional cases and consideration to these rules, and you might or may not qualify for VA act. VA act also covers Spouses, children, dependents, and caretakers. If you are related to a Veteran or an active serving army in one of this way, then you may apply for VA health care enrollment.
As a civilian, can you qualify for VA health care?
 Yes, as a civilian, you can qualify for VA health care if you are related to a veteran or an active military serving individual. If you are a spouse/widow, child or dependent on a veteran then by VA health insurance for spouse and VA health care for dependents makes you eligible for free health care services if the Veteran:
Has died on active duty
Died due to service-connected disability
Is rated permanently or disabled due to service-connected disability
Was rated totally-disabled at the time of death due to service
You can also be eligible under CHAMPVA if you have not enrolled under any other medical services.
