Fumiko was laying on her side, mindlessly scrolling through her phone, her eyes completely void. Kisuke sighed as he leaned on the door frame.
“It’s one of those days huh?”
Fumiko looked up at him briefly before retuning her eyes to her phone.
“Alright then...” He groaned, pushing himself off the doorframe and walking towards her, “Get up.”
“No.” She said plainly, this time not even bothering to look up.
“I wasn’t asking.” He replied, picking her up off the bed.
She yelped and clung to him as he picked her up. He chuckled as he placed her feet on the ground.
She crossed her arms and huffed, “What the hell was that for?”
He ignored her question, taking out his own phone, putting on some music before tossing it onto the bed, “We’re gonna dance.”
“Why?”
“Why not?”
She sighed. There was no use trying to make sense of his mind.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her in, beginning to sway to the music. She rested her head in his neck, trying her best not to smile. And they swayed and spun and jumped around until she couldn’t hold back the smile anymore. They twisted and turned with no regard for the time on the bedside clock, too lost on their own little world.
The haze in her mind cleared as he dipped her, giving her a sweet kiss on the lips as he did. She giggled as he pulled her back up and leaned her forehead against his.
“This is ridiculous.” She giggled.
“That’s kind of our brand isn’t it?” He smiled.
They both laughed and she found herself forgetting she was ever sad in the first place. Too happy, too content, to think about it anymore.
