Muhammad Abdulwahab rahimahu llaah says regarding this verse: ‘I call to Allaah’ shows sincerity
because many people call to themselves.” Shaikh Saleh Fawzan continues: “The person should not
call to a group or party or person nor to a madhab other than Islam. Not to any group except the
group of Muslims, Ahlu Sunnah wal Jamma’a. This is why if some harm befalls him or deficiency
then he gets hurt because this to him is an attack on himself and his personality. As for the one who
calls to Allaah then he is not concerned with the praise of the people or that they did not praise him
because he seeks the Face of Allaah. If some harm befalls him then he is upon the path of
Allaah.”[p.19,20 ‘Sifaat Daa’ya Naajih’ - ‘The Attributes of the Successful Caller’ 1418h]
