• Lightweight Access Points will be used as major access point.
• WLAN Controller (Cisco Catalyst 9800) will be used.
• Different servers like DHCP, DNS and FTP are installed to provide quality services to users and RADIUS and DMZ are deployed to secure the network.
• Different Floors will be divided into different VLAN network and subnetting will be done accordingly.
• Bandwidth requirement will be set by using the IEEE standard (802.11ac and 802.11n) as per the requirements.
• Lightweight Access Point Protocol is used to provide central control of Access point. LWAPP helps AP to automatically detects the best available cisco wireless LAN controller. LAP also uses Control and Provisioning of wireless Access Point Protocol (CAPWAP) to communicate with the controller and other access point on the network.
• For the manual Authentication between Lightweight access point and WLAN Controller, they use X.509 certificate.
The challenges we might face during after the implementation will be:
1. Noise- we might face noise and jitter during the transmission.
2. Throughput- It might not be enough for all users.
3. Data traffic- Bandwidth might not be enough when many users are accessing the network at same time.
