Write the debate scene after the inciting incident. Here you will show your characters resistance to change. This is the time for your character to react to the inciting incident. Usually in the form of a question; What do I do? Should I go? How will I survive? etc. Your protagonist will debate and prepare. Write the first conflict scene. Remember this is your characters first attempt to get what he wants by acting on his own flawed personality. They will usually attack the scene in the wrong way. Please post your homework in the classroom so we can discuss it in class.

My main characters are trapped in another "world" and they are there to find a weapon that can destroy prophecies. They are from the Uncharted Land. Connor is the prince in the Uncharted Land and Alice is from the regular world. They are in the palace of that "world" The world is called Sealands. But, there is another rebel group in the Sealands. They choose to rebel against the palace that same day. Unfortunetly, my main characters, Alice and Connor, being there at the wrong place at the wrong time, are accused. They have to run for their lives. This is when my character reacts to the situation. Her, being born in the regular world, never developed any different powers. But, people born in the Uncharted Land develops powers like teleporting, being able to fly, turn invisible. Alice was feeling fury. Then she triggered her ability to do conjure fire. She was able to melt down the metal bars that trapped them in the jail. I think in this part of the book, she was panicked, angry, scared, and frustuated. All of these emtions and desperation made her trigger the ability. Her flames act accodring to her emotions, her being scared and angry, made the flames bigger and set the castle on fire. Even though a rare ability had triggered, she could not control it and the Sealands declared it was a sign of violence and war.
