Simply break things down. I just jotted all I knew about aroma therapy.
Taking it apart. The words aroma & therapy.


2)
I put the main Idea after the arrow.
Make your key points short and precise (Put it in terms that you'll understand)
Break it down if you have to just as I have with the words psychological & physical
Take note that details come later. (The words next to the dashes)
If you need help remembering the small details, figure out a system that works for you.
Look at my example of putting the beginning letters at the very bottom in capital letters.

Notice I made the answer to that question really simple.
All you have to do is associate oil with plant parts

4) In this case, I was to figure out ways to enter the body

The details are in the parentheses-- Shows what the particular method affects
Inhalation directly related to brain
Absorption directly related to blood & entire body

OVERALL
-Break things down (Make things simple)
-Ask questions (Who, what, when, where, why, how)
(Questions are pretty much the basis of your key points)
-Put emphasis on main ideas/key points (In text it'd probably be the title-subtitle-bold-italics)
-Save the details til' later
-Find a system that works for you when you get to the deets

Never stress about remembering everything all at once because you'll only set yourself up for failure.
