All 15 Chrysalis seasons ranked from worst to best
15: Gold (2016-2017)
Gold is, without a doubt, the WORST season to ever come out of the Chrysalis. The Ice warrior, Daijro, has the design and depth as a light novel harem self-insert protagonist. The Lighting warrior, Fumihiro, is not done nearly as well as other franchise "smart guys" Hideo, Satoru, or Kazuto. The Fire Warrior, Nanako, is just a big titty fan service ojou, nothing special about her. And the Earth Warrior, Erina, is a big titty shy nerd girl, also nothing special about her. Too much fan service, not enough action, and the characters were all incredibly one-dimensional.
14: Platinum (2017-2018)
Platinum, despite being ranked 14th, is still far better than Gold. Unlike Gold, which just forgot everything that made Chrysalis what it is, Platinum tried too hard to do something different. The Lighting Warrior is the edgy, class skipping delinquent Yuto. Yuto isn't a bad character, but they could have made him less monotone and lame. The Fire Warrior is Yuto's twin sister, Yuuna. Yuuna is the student council president and model student, and also probably the best character in the season. Yuuna is funny, a determined leader, and constantly sick of Yuto's brooding emo bullshit. The Ice Warrior is the bubbly Photography club president Minoru, who would probably be liked a lot more if he weren't an obvious copy of Ryu from Ruby, but he's still pretty okay. The Earth Warrior Hana, who seems like a basic big titty sisterly upperclassman, but isn't all that bad. This season is ruined by all the terrible dimension-travelling wizardry bullshit, and would probably be absolute garbage if it weren't for its comedy.
13: Yellow (2007-2008)
Yellow is the third season, making it one of the classic first four. All of the characters are obvious copies of the characters from the first season. Even the elements are the same. The Fire Warrior is the average but brave Soji, or Junji 2.0. The Earth Warrior is swim team captain Isami, Or Takeshi 2.0.
