how i learnt to surf
my mum has a phobia to swim but my dad loves the water and so does my brother and i so one day we were invited to a family get-together with my uncles aunties and cousins at the beach in Durban i cant remember when it was but my dad my brother and i was getting ready to swim in the ocean with a couple others so as we went in the sea then my dad got a surf board he had brought on the journey we took turns on it and my dad taught us how to surf my brother and i was naturals but my mum was getting paranoid so my dad told us to not go out to far out we went under waves and on top of the waves but at a safe distance then my dad taught us how to go around waves that was the most fun for my brother but i thought all were fun i could not choose i know it is wrong to have a favorite cousin but i think it was because she lived the most close and visited the most anyway she was there to and was having a bit of trouble swimming you see she could not swim then so i helped her to learn to swim but she was to scared so she went away as she was getting cold my mum was calling us to have lunch but my brother and i just refused to get out of the water so somehow my dad convinced us to come out and eat later on i confessed i was getting a bit hungry swimming do much and we all had a good laugh after that we were to cold to go back in and changed into our clothes after chatting a bit we all went for a walk it was so nice to stretch my legs for a bit anyway i found it weird though because my mum hated the water but just loved fishing weird [ 230] so we all went back to the place were we left a few elderly ones who did not want to go for a walk then the children with my dad went to play down by the water we played with a frizby and when that got old then we played with the ball it was getting late so we all helped each other carry their belongings with ours back to the hotel we had all booked into then we all changed and the kids with me went into the pool to swim even more the adults were sitting around the pool all chatting when we all swam enough then we ate lunch and went to sleep the next day we all took photos which i hated because for the one photo this family member who was taking the photo was taking to long to take the photo and i just kept smiling and my cheeks were so sore then for another photo i literary got squashed by some of the family members so anyways after all the photo taking my one of my cousins mum invited my family over for tea so we went and chatted and played games then went home finally and all slept like babies
