DRIVER'S LICENSE
b) Driver Candidate Profile /DCP/ - For a person applying for the replacement of a driving licence issued by a country not being a member of the EU or a driving licence not specified in the road traffic convention

Who may file the application / initiate the proceedings:

Party (person having a valid national driving licence issued abroad, staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland for at least 185 days in each calendar year because of his/her personal or professional ties, or having a confirmation that he/she has studied for at least 6 months).

Required applications and documents to be made available upon request:

Persons replacing a foreign driving licence who are obliged to pass the theory part of the driving licence examination submit the following documents for the purpose of obtaining the Driver Candidate Profile:

Application for the replacement of a driving licence
A clear, current and colour photograph with dimensions 3.5 x 4.5 cm, presenting the person with the head uncovered and without spectacles with dark glasses, showing the head in a position of left half-profile with a visible left ear, with the head uncovered and without dark spectacles (unless such a photograph is contained in the person�s identity document)
Photocopy of a driving licence
Photocopy of a residence card, a valid residence visa or any other document confirming the right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland, or a statement that the person has studied in Poland for at least 6 months
Authenticated translation of a foreign driving licence (prepared or certified by a sworn translator or a relevant consul of the Republic of Poland)
Personal identity document (identity card, residence card, valid visa) available upon request
Comments:

The application for the issue of the Driver Candidate Profile is submitted personally.

The driving licence of a person applying for replacement must have an appropriately long period of validity (replacement is carried out against the returnof a valid foreign driving licence).

The Driver Candidate Profile is usually issued on the spot; the maximum time of waiting is 2 working days.
